Absolutely exceptional staff, strategic location. Hotel was fairly clean. The beach was sandy. Gorgeous and savoury breakfast, enjoyed it.

The staff is always absolutely perfect and the rooms are silent and immaculate. Decent view, a little balcony, lovely bed, too. Affordable food including boiled eggs, cakes, potato, slices of fresh bread and bakery at the breakfast. Phenomenal location to matthew.

Very classy location, above average breakfast and really very helpful staff. Its climate control, fridge and soundproof windows were much appreciated during our weekend. Beautiful old hotel centrally located in the city. There was plunge swimming pool too.

I had a very lovely stay in a long time. I enjoyed location and staff. Plenty of options for breakfast including slices of fresh bread, bakery, meats, cakes and fresh fruit. Pool was nice and there was a TRENDY restaurant on site. Also, I was 5 minutes by walk from st matthew's church.

Disappointing aspect was a bit cramped bathroom.

We dined at Signal Tea Room, that is just 600 metres away. We had a car, so 5 minutes drive to whitby harbour. It is really close to the airport...
